Nuts and seeds are good sources of protein, healthy fats and fibers, vitamins and minerals. They also help burn energy and have nutrients that provide protective effects against heart disease

This is nutritious and nourishing meal, perfect for being the centerpiece of dinner, such as parties, thanksgiving and even Christmas dinner. It can also be sliced up and put away perfect for packed lunches. Make sure you try it out and let us know how you get on. This recipe was made on the TTI family health show by Alvin and Louise Mcqueen



Nut Roast Recipe


50 - 60 mins 8 servings medium


Ingredients

2 cups of water

1/2 cup of yeast flakes

1 Onion dried

3 Galic cloves diced

1 Tbsp of Mixed Herbs

1 Tbsp Mixed Seeds

2 Tbsp Mixed Nuts

2 Tbsp Mixed Chestnuts

1 cup Liquid Aminos

2 1/2 Cups Oats







Instructions


1. Put Water In a saucepan with onions, yeast flakes, garlic, mixed herbs & liquid Amino

2. Bring to boil, then add the seeds, chestnuts, the nuts & Oats. Cook until it is firm to stir

3. Place in a loaf tin with parchment paper and bake for about 30 mins at about 160 Celsius/ gas mark 5.

4. Take it out the oven and leave to stand for 15 minutes

Optional

5. Garnish with grapefruit slices, some chopped up coriander
